A Passion for Nurturing Young Minds:
My dedication to children's education began at a young age. At 10, I started babysitting for teachers after school, eventually transitioning to in-home childcare. This ignited my desire for a career working with children, ideally as a teacher.
In 2016, I gained valuable experience as an assistant teacher at a childcare center, working my way up to lead my own classroom. This role fueled a deeper passion for supporting children with special needs. I pursued a special education degree and concurrently became a paraprofessional.
Shadowing educators and specialists further solidified my calling. However, after relocating to a higher cost-of-living area, I temporarily returned to babysitting while navigating my educational path. This experience opened doors to nannying, which I've come to love.
My Commitment to Flexibility:
While my current studies in Marketing Management at Chattahoochee Technical College might seem like a detour, it's a strategic decision. The demanding schedule of the occupational therapy assistant program, which I initially enrolled in, required full-time on-site commitment. To maintain flexibility and continue working with children, I opted for a remote-workable career path. Marketing Management provides that opportunity. Upon graduation in summer 2025, I plan to return and complete my OTA certification.
